ThermoWave Guard is an advanced smart monitoring and automation system that integrates thermal imaging, mmWave radar sensing, infrared detection, and intelligent control technologies to provide accurate occupancy monitoring, safety surveillance, and automated AC load management. The system is built around the ESP32 microcontroller, which performs real-time sensor fusion and decision-making at the edge.
A thermal camera continuously captures temperature distribution patterns and detects abnormal heat signatures, enabling early identification of overheating equipment, fire hazards, or unusual thermal events. Simultaneously, the mmWave radar sensor performs highly accurate human presence detection, motion tracking, and occupancy monitoring, even in low-light or visually obstructed environments. The IR sensor provides additional object detection capability, enhancing system reliability through multi-modal sensing.
The collected sensor data is processed by the ESP32 and displayed on an OLED screen for real-time visualization. When human presence, thermal anomalies, or predefined environmental conditions are detected, the system can automatically control connected AC loads through relay-based switching. A buzzer alert mechanism provides immediate local notifications for abnormal conditions requiring attention.
Powered through an SMPS and regulated using a buck converter, the system ensures stable and efficient operation for continuous monitoring applications. By combining thermal imaging and radar sensing technologies, ThermoWave Guard significantly improves detection accuracy compared to conventional single-sensor systems, making it suitable for smart buildings, industrial automation, energy management, and intelligent safety monitoring applications.
