Smart MotorGuard is an ESP32-based intelligent motor monitoring and protection system designed to enhance the reliability and safety of AC motor operations. The system employs a microphone sensor to continuously capture and analyze the acoustic characteristics of the motor during operation. By monitoring variations in sound patterns, the framework can identify abnormal conditions such as excessive noise, mechanical wear, bearing faults, misalignment, or overload situations. The ESP32 processes the acoustic data locally and displays real-time motor status on an OLED display. Upon detecting abnormal operating conditions, the system activates a buzzer for immediate alerts and automatically controls a relay to disconnect the motor, preventing potential equipment damage. The proposed solution offers a cost-effective and scalable approach for predictive maintenance, fault prevention, and industrial motor health management using edge computing technology.
