The Smart Healthcare Monitoring System with Edge AI-Based Arrhythmia Risk Detection is an intelligent biomedical monitoring platform designed to continuously assess cardiovascular health using real-time physiological signal analysis. The system integrates an ECG sensor (AD8232) and a MAX30100 pulse oximeter sensor to acquire critical health parameters including ECG waveform, heart rate, and blood oxygen saturation (SpO₂).

An ESP32 microcontroller serves as the edge computing unit, processing biosignals locally without requiring continuous cloud connectivity. A lightweight Edge AI algorithm analyzes ECG patterns and heart rate variability to identify potential arrhythmia-related abnormalities such as irregular heart rhythms, tachycardia, bradycardia, and abnormal cardiac events.

The monitored health parameters are displayed on an OLED display, allowing patients and healthcare professionals to view real-time physiological information. In the event of abnormal cardiac conditions, the system immediately activates a buzzer alert and can transmit notifications to caregivers or healthcare providers through IoT connectivity.

Powered through an SMPS and buck converter architecture, the system provides stable and reliable operation suitable for hospitals, home healthcare environments, elderly patient monitoring, and remote telemedicine applications.

The proposed system offers an affordable and intelligent healthcare solution capable of early cardiac risk detection, continuous monitoring, and proactive medical intervention.
