The Self-Healing Lightning Early Warning and Critical Asset Protection System is an advanced cyber-physical safety platform designed to protect critical infrastructure, industrial assets, renewable energy installations, and smart-grid equipment from lightning-related hazards. The system employs a lightning detection sensor (AS3935) and an ESP32-based edge computing unit to continuously monitor atmospheric electromagnetic disturbances associated with thunderstorm activity.

Unlike conventional lightning detection systems that merely generate alerts after detecting nearby strikes, the proposed framework utilizes Edge AI-based anomaly analysis to evaluate storm intensity, lightning frequency, and risk trends in real time. Based on the assessed threat level, the system predicts hazardous conditions and initiates preventive safety measures before critical damage occurs.

A relay-controlled protection mechanism automatically isolates vulnerable electrical equipment during severe lightning risk conditions. The integrated OLED display provides live information including lightning distance, storm severity level, system status, and protection mode. A buzzer alert system immediately warns nearby personnel when atmospheric conditions indicate elevated danger.

To ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages caused by thunderstorms, the system incorporates a 3-cell lithium battery backup system with BMS protection and a buck converter-based power regulation architecture. This allows continuous monitoring and emergency protection even when the primary power source becomes unavailable.

The "self-healing" capability enables the system to autonomously restore normal operation once atmospheric conditions return to safe levels, minimizing downtime and reducing the need for manual intervention.
