The IoT-Enabled Smart Energy Monitoring and Remote Load Control System Using ESP32 and PZEM is an intelligent energy management solution designed to monitor, analyze, and control electrical loads in real time. The system utilizes a PZEM energy monitoring module to measure critical electrical parameters such as voltage, current, power, energy consumption, frequency, and power factor.

An ESP32 microcontroller acts as the central processing and communication unit, continuously acquiring data from the PZEM module and transmitting it to an IoT platform for remote monitoring. The measured parameters are displayed locally on an I2C LCD display, allowing users to view live electrical data and system status.

A relay module is integrated to provide remote and automatic load control capabilities. Based on predefined conditions such as overload, overcurrent, or excessive energy consumption, the system can automatically disconnect or reconnect electrical loads to ensure equipment protection and energy efficiency.

The system also incorporates a GSM module that sends instant SMS notifications during abnormal conditions such as power failures, overloads, overvoltage events, or unauthorized load operation. A manual switch enables local control, while an AC lamp serves as a demonstration load for testing and monitoring purposes.

Powered through an SMPS and buck converter architecture, the system ensures stable and reliable operation in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
