The Smart Home Automation and Automatic Power Factor Correction System Using ESP32 and Blynk IoT is an intelligent energy management solution designed to provide remote appliance control, real-time electrical parameter monitoring, and automatic power factor improvement. The system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the central controller, enabling wireless communication with the Blynk IoT platform for remote monitoring and control from anywhere in the world.

The system incorporates a 4-channel relay module for controlling household electrical appliances such as lights, fans, and other loads. Electrical parameters including voltage, current, power, and power factor are continuously measured using a ZMPT voltage sensor and current sensing module. These parameters are displayed in real time on both the Blynk dashboard and a local OLED display, allowing users to monitor energy consumption and power quality.

To improve electrical efficiency, the system features an Automatic Power Factor Correction (APFC) mechanism using a 2-channel relay-controlled capacitor bank. When the measured power factor drops below a predefined threshold, the ESP32 automatically switches capacitor banks to compensate for reactive power and improve the overall power factor. This reduces energy losses, enhances system efficiency, and helps maintain better power quality.

A SMPS power supply and buck converter module provide stable operating voltages for the ESP32, sensors, relays, and display circuitry. The integrated solution combines smart home automation, energy monitoring, and power factor correction into a single IoT-enabled platform, making it suitable for residential, educational, and energy management applications.
