RailSafe+: Fire and Gas Monitoring System for Passenger Trains

RailGuard is an innovative safety system designed to enhance passenger security by detecting fire and hazardous gas leaks in trains. Built using an Arduino microcontroller, the system integrates flame and gas sensors to continuously monitor the train environment. When abnormal conditions are detected, such as the presence of smoke or flammable gases, the system immediately triggers a buzzer alert and displays the warning on an LCD screen.

To simulate emergency braking, a gear motor mechanism is used to pull the train's emergency chain. Additionally, the system can be enhanced with GSM functionality to send real-time SMS alerts to control centers or emergency responders.

This project demonstrates the practical application of embedded systems in transportation safety and is ideal for academic demonstrations, railway safety enhancement projects, and IoT-based disaster prevention solutions.
